A low vision impairment is often severe enough to limit the ability of people to perform basic activities of daily living. Our goal is to help persons with low vision age in place and be able to participate in the activities that they need and want to do! Since April of 2011, we have provide over 1,000 low vision treatment sessions to persons in the Triangle area. We are now servicing  Wake, Durham, Orange, Guilford and Forsyth counties (with some limitations).

Our occupational therapists complete specialized training in low vision including many graduates of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s only comprehensive low vision rehab graduate certificate for OTs in the US! Our therapists are active in the low vision community, attending workshops and conferences, participating in low vision support groups and focusing on evidence-based practice.
