Founder of Therapeutic Solutions: Tomeico Faison, OTR/L

Tomeico Faison, OTR/L founded Therapeutic Solutions in 2003. She began her mental health career in 1997, working as a habilitation technician serving persons with developmental disabilites and/or mental illnesses in the community. In 2001, she received her Masters degree in occupational therapy from the University of NC at Chapel Hill. Two years into her career she founded Therapeutic Solutions and began contracting with ICF MR/DD group homes, assisted living facilities, community-based agencies and state psychiatric institutions. She continues to contract with these agencies and hires subcontractors that share her passion for excellent occupational therapy services. Her dedication to the profession of occupational therapy and innovative community-based practice are noted with special award recognition: Marlys Mitchell Pioneer Award recipient-UNC-CH at graduation-2001 and Nova Award for best practice within the first five years of service from the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association-2003. In addition to providing management and clinical services, Tomeico also teachs part time using advanced distant technologies.In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with God and her family, jogging, and writing inspirational poetry.

Wayne Faison, Domestic Violence Educator/Counselor

Wayne Faison joins Therapeutic Solutions in 2012 as a domestic violence educator and counselor! Wayne Faison began his career in mental health in 1996 as a residential counselor for Willie M clients in a group home. In 2003, he received his bachelor's degree in recreation from Shaw University and began working with adolescents at Dorothea Dix Hospital. Since the conception of his career, he has worked in multiple mental health positions, to include community support team member, case manager, intensive in home team member, and qualified mental health professional. In 2010, he received his Masters in Christian Counseling from Apex School of Theology and shortly aftewards passed the National Counseling Examination. He currently teaches domestic violence courses and is continuing his education in forensic counseling. Wayne enjoys playing basketball, cooking turkey bbq and spending time with God and his family. At Therapeutic Solutions, he will be providing counseling services and domestic violence/ anger management educational groups.

Therapeutic Solutions utilizes standard and standardized assessments that provide data regarding specific deficits that may interfere with a person's ability to function in their living environment and community. Based on the results of the assessment, evidenced-based recommendations are made that minimize disabilties and maximize possibiities!
